Jérôme Cordié applies to his creations the principles of ancient geometry and the “regulating layouts” of cathedral builders. He uses the traditional techniques of cabinetwork and his experience in noble and natural materials like shagreen, parchment, bone, horn or mother-of-pearl to release all its sensitivity.
“When you respect the harmony of the nature that is the body, the emotion which comes into play” said Jerome Cordié who uses only natural materials because natural substances have an energy that does not have the chemical materials; they have a real impact in tune with the individual, with his unconscious emotions.
Creations resemble a scientific mixture of ancestral know-how and design to which he adds a spiritual dimension: he wants to create objects which make sense because home is the reflection of our inner richness.
“When I put my energy into the achievement of a piece of furniture, it is an intention. It preserves it because the form ratio is harmonious. The whole thing is a matter of balance in the forms.”
